The petitioners’ lands were acquired under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Upon applying for enhanced compensation, enhanced compensation was awarded. After coming to know that similarly placed persons were awarded higher compensation, the petitioners applied under Section 28A of the above mentioned enactment seeking parity in compensation. On the ground that the said application has not been acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed. Page2 of 5

2. Mr.V.Vasanthakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader

(Puducherry), accepts notice for all the respondents. On the basis of written instructions, he submits that the application would be considered and disposed of by making disbursement of compensation in accordance with law.
