Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 07.09.2023 made by the petitioner to regularise the service of the petitioner from the date of appointment 07.07.2008 and also to pay the arrears of salary along with all other consequential attendant and monetary benefits within a stipulated period as prescribed by this Court. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.09.2023 to regularise her service from the date of appointment i.e., on 07.07.2008 and also to pay the arrears of salary along with all other consequential attendant and monetary benefits within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was recruited through District Coimbatore Employment Office on daily wages as Office Assistant from 07.07.2008 in the respondent University and her salary
was converted into a consolidated basis from the year 2014 and now receiving a sum of Rs.18,900/- per month. He further submitted that even after completion of more than 17 years, the petitioner’s service was not regularised and hence, she made a representation to the second respondent on 07.09.2023, however no
order was passed and hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs
the respondent concerned to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 07.09.2023 in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs. 20-01-2026 Index: Yes/No
