JUDGMENT
(Dated this the 30th day of November, 2023) The petitioners has approached this Court for a direction to provide adequate and effective police protection to the petitioner and his family from the acts of the 5th respondent and their henchmen.
2. The petitioners are husband and wife, they are running
business of manufacturing of cement rings for wells. The 5th respondent had offered an amount to the petitioners for purchasing the house of the petitioners. Since, the petitioners were not amenable to the same the 5th respondent started threatening the petitioners. The 5th respondent’s father also tried to attack the 2nd petitioner. The counsel for the petitioners submitted that, they anticipate a serious threat from the 5th respondent and his men. Hence this writ petition filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the
government pleader submits that, on the basis of complaint, the WP(C) NO. 34762 OF 2023 4 petitioner, as well as the 5th respondent, were called to the police station, and the issue was settled, and as of now there is no threat from the 5th respondent. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, with the liberty given to the petitioners to approach the 4 th respondent in the event of any threat from the 5th respondent in the event of any such petitions being filed, adequate protection shall be given to the petitioners. Therefore, This writ petition is disposed of, as above.
