J U D G M E N T

The prayers in this Original Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India are as follows:-

(i) To direct the Hon'ble DRT -I Ernakulam to hear the matter on merits and dispose the SA No. 155/2019 expeditiously within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

(ii) Pass such other order or direction as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper.

(iii) Award the costs of the petition.

2. On 15.09.2023, this Court directed the Registry to obtain a report from the Tribunal concerned on the time required for the disposal of the matter.

3. A report has been obtained from the Debts Recovery Tribunal-I, Ernakulam stating that the matter could be disposed of within a period of two months.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner

submitted that the parties arrived at a settlement and no much time is required for the trial. Therefore, the DRT-I, Ernakulam is directed to dispose of S.A.No.155 of 2019 within two months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment. Sd/- K.
