JUDGMENT
Petitioner seeks for a direction for an expeditious disposal of C.C.No.819 of 2017 on the files of the Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court-I, Perinthalmanna.
2. On the date of admission, this Court called for a report from the
learned Magistrate as to the possibility of speedy disposal. It is informed by communication dated 13.07.2023 that a period of eight months is required to complete the proceedings.
3. Having regard to the pendency of cases before the said court
and also the circumstances arising in the case apart from the number of witnesses, I am of the view that more time can be granted to the learned Magistrate to dispose of the case. Therefore, there will be a direction to the learned Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court-I, Perinthalmanna to dispose of C.C.No.819 of 2017, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within an outer period of twelve months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
