JUDGMENT
This writ petition is filed with the following prayers:- “i) Issue a writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction to quash Exts. P1 and P2. ii) Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents 1 to 4 to appoint petitioner as the licensee of retail ration shop No. 220 in Ward No. 2 of Cheppad Grama Panchayat. iii) Dispense with the translation of vernacular document. iv) Grant such other reliefs as this Hon’ble Court would deem fit and proper. v) Allow the costs of the petitioner. ” (SIC)
2. The main prayer in this writ petition is against
Exts.P1 and P2 orders. Ext.P1 is an order passed by the District Collector in an appeal filed against Ext.P2 order. Now, admittedly an appeal is maintainable against Ext.P1 before the Commissioner of Civil Supplies. If that is the case, this writ petition need not be entertained. The petitioner is free to challenge Ext.P1 before the appellate authority in accordance with law. With the above observations, this writ petition is closed.
