JUDGMENT
Dated this the 25th day of August, 2023 This writ petition is filed seeking the following prayers: “(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the 1 st respondent to consider and pass orders on Exts.P3 and P5 applications which were submitted along with documents; in accordance with Exts.P7 and P8.
(ii) Declare that the petitioner is entitled to continue in service till 31.05.2024 in light of Ext.P1 Birth Certificate, in accordance with Ext.P7 and P8”
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the
petitioner’s date of birth has been corrected in the SSLC Book and that if the corresponding correction is carried out in the service records, the petitioner would be entitled to continue in service for a further period of one year.
4. The learned Government Pleader submits that the application submitted by the petitioner and the supporting documents have been forwarded to the Government for consideration.
5. Having considered the contentions advanced, there will be a
direction to the 1st respondent to take up the application submitted by the petitioner which has been forwarded by the 2nd respondent and to consider and pass orders on the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioner shall
produce a copy of the writ petition along with a copy of this judgment
and the application, if any, submitted by the petitioner before the 2 nd respondent before the 1st respondent for compliance. This writ petition is ordered accordingly.
