JUDGMENT
This is an appeal filed under Section 14-A of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (‘the Act’ for short). The appellant is the accused in Crime No.657 of 2024 of Neyyattinkara Police Station. He is alleged to have committed offences punishable under Sections 376 and 376(2)(n) of IPC and Section 3(2)(v) of the Act. The challenge in this appeal is to the order dated 22.06.2024 in C.M.P.No.345 of 2024 passed by the Special Court for the trial of the offences under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (POA) Act Cases, Nedumangad in a petition seeking anticipatory bail.
2. It is submitted that the investigating agency arrested the petitioner and hence the matter has become infructuous. The Crl.Appeal is therefore closed as infructuous. Sd/- K.BABU JUDGE kkj
