The petitioner, the accused in S.C. No.407/2021 on the file of the Additional District and Sessions Court-III, Pathanamthitta, has filed this petition for a direction to the said court to consider the bail application as soon as he surrenders before the said court and to pass orders on the same day.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor representing the respondent.

3. Having regard to the facts stated in this petition as well as

the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor, it appears to be expedient in the interest of justice to pass an order directing the Trial Court to consider the bail application filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and to dispose of the same without delay. In the result, the petition is disposed of directing the Additional District and Sessions Court-III, Pathanamthitta, to consider the bail application, if any, filed by the petitioner, as far as possible on the same day when it is filed, and to pass order expeditiously after hearing the learned Public Prosecutor concerned.
