JUDGMENT
The petitioner has approached this Court complaining of police harassment. According to the petitioner, he is being continuously summoned by respondents 4 and 5.
2. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions,
submitted that a certain Jamuna, who is the cousin of the petitioner, lodged a complaint before the Director General of Police complaining that certain amounts are due to her from the petitioner herein. To inquire into the said complaint, the petitioner was summoned to the police station. It is further submitted that the said Jamuna is no more. The complaint was closed and no crime has been registered. It is also submitted that the petitioner is having criminal antecedents and is involved in Crime No. 232/2022 of Varappuzha Police Station.
3. I have considered the submissions advanced.
4. It appears that it is based on a complaint lodged by the
cousin of the petitioner, who is no more, the petitioner was summoned. W.P.(C).7388 of 2024 4 The learned Government Pleader has pointed out the presence of the petitioner is no longer required in connection with the aforesaid complaint and he will not be summoned in connection with the case.
