JUDGMENT
Dated this the 15th day of July, 2024 The petitioners wee studying in the final Semester Mechanical Engineering Diploma course in KMCT Polytechnic College, Kozhikode. It is stated, due to some unavoidable circumstances on medical reason, there occurred a shortage of attendance. In such circumstances, the petitioners have approached the Principal for condonation of shortage of attendance. It is stated that the condonation of shortage of attendance is administrated as per GO(MS) No.222/2013/H.Edn dated 03.06.2013 issued by the Higher Education Department.
2. On knowing that the practical examination for the 6 th semester
was scheduled on 18.05.2016 to 24.05.2016, the petitioners approached this Court by this writ petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to condone the attendance shortage of the petitioners in their 6 th semester and permit them to remit the examination fee, to issue hall ticket and also permit them for their practical examination.
3. When the matter came up for consideration on 19.05.2016,
this Court granted an interim order, whereby the petitioners were provisionally permitted to attend the practical examination in the 6 th semester regular examinations.
4. When the matter taken up for consideration today, the learned
counsel for the 2nd respondent submitted that on the strength of the interim order, the petitioners have attended their practical examination and now they have completed the course. Accordingly, no further grievance is subsisting.
