SMT. DEEPA NARAYANAN - GP THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 29.11.2023, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:
JUDGMENT
The petitioner states that he is the title holder of an extent of 14.16 Ares of land comprised in Survey No. 266/1 of Aranattukara Village in Thrissur District. The grievance of the petitioner is that the fair value fixed in respect of his property is higher than the market value. Accordingly, the petitioner has preferred Ext. P3 appeal before the 3 rd respondent, the District Collector against the fixation of fair value. The petitioner submits that even though the statutory time limit for disposing of the appeal has expired, the 3rd respondent has not so far passed any orders thereon. The limited prayer of the petitioner in this writ petition is for a direction to the 3 rd respondent to dispose of Ext. P3 appeal, within a time frame.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner
and the learned Government Pleader. In the facts and circumstances of the case, there will be a direction to the 3 rd respondent to consider and dispose of Ext. P3 appeal, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this
judgment.
