The petitioner approached this Court with a grievance that she is 55% disabled and working as Multi Purpose Health Worker.

She was promoted and transferred from Civil Hospital, Gurdaspur to Civil Hospital, Rampura, District Bhatinda at a distance of about 150 kilometers from the present place of posting.

Her husband is working as Clerk in District Treasury at Gurdaspur.

The transfer order was challenged primarily raising two grounds, namely, disability of the petitioner and that her husband is working at Gurdaspur.

Learned counsel for the State has produced in court an order dated 14.5.2014 transferring the petitioner to Primary Health Centre, Dhianpur, District Gurdaspur.
