**** MEHINDER SINGH SULLAR , J.(oral) Petitioner-Daljit Kaur wife of Gurwinder Singh, has preferred the instant petition for the grant of anticipatory bail, in a case registered against her by her husband, along with her other co-accused, vide FIR No.295 dated 20.10.2013, on accusation of having committed an offence punishable under Section 380 read with Section 34 IPC, by the police of Police Station Chhehretta, Amritsar City.

Notice of the petition was issued to the State.

After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, going through the record with their valuable assistance and after considering the entire matter deeply, to my mind, the present petition for anticipatory bail Kumar Naresh 2014.05.28 14:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh CRM No.M-2718 of 2014 -2- deserves to be accepted in this context.

During the couRs.of preliminary hearing, the following order was passed by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court (Naresh Kumar Sanghi, J.).on February 03, 2014: - “During the couRs.of arguments, learned counsel for the State submits that before final adjudication of the present petition, the petitioner be directed to appear before the Investigating Officer to join the investigation.
The prayer has not been opposed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
The petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer at Police Station, Chhehretta, District Amritsar City, on 10.02.2014 at 10.00 AM to join the investigation.
List on 25.03.2014 for consideration.
Meanwhile, in the event of her arrest, the petitioner shall be released on ad-interim anticipatory bail subject to her furnishing personal bond in the sum of `25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting officer.
The petitioner shall continue to join the investigation as and when required to do so and abide by all the conditions laid down in Section 438(2),Cr.P.C.”

At the very outset, on instructions from ASI Gursahib Singh, learned State Counsel has acknowledged the relevant factual matrix and submitted that the petitioner has already joined the investigation.
She is no longer required for further interrogation, at this stage.
There is no history of her previous involvement in any other criminal case.
Even, since the prosecution has not yet submitted the final police report (challan) against the accused, so, the final conclusion of trial will naturally take a long time.

In the light of aforesaid reasons, the instant petition for anticipatory bail is accepted.
