JUDGMENT

The petitioners husband and wife have filed these original petitions challenging an order of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Thrissur declining their request to have OP(MV) No.1429 of 2010 and OP(MV) No.1430 of 2010, disposed of on an early date, overlooking the priority position. The Tribunal has found that the petitioners have not suffered any serious injuries in the accident and that there were no circumstances justifying their claim for having their cases taken out of turn. I find no grounds to interfere with the impugned orders.

2. The counsel for the petitioners submits that proceedings for recovery of amounts due from the husband are being pursued vigorously by M/s Dhanalakshmi Bank Ltd and that, the amount that they may be able to obtain as compensation for the injuries suffered could be utilised to -:2:- O.P.(MAC) Nos.65 & 67 of 2014 ward off the recovery proceedings. According to the counsel, the Insurance Company is not raising any serious disputes in the matter and that an Award could be passed, upon a reference to the Adalat. The petitioners shall be at liberty to request the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Thrissur for listing the matters before the next available Adalat. If such a request is made, I am sure that the request would be entertained and necessary orders passed thereon, without delay. These original petitions are disposed of with the above directions.
