***** AUGUSTINE GEORGE MASIH, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to treat his date of appointment as 07.07.2012 instead of 12.06.2013 on the ground that he was always ready and willing to join the service but was not given the said appointment despite a direction is issued by this Court for considering the claim of the petitioner and even a contempt petition had to be preferred by him, which led finally to the petitioner being offered the appointment, in pursuance whereof the petitioner has joined the service.

A justice demand notice has already been served by the petitioner through counsel on 16.01.2014 (Annexure P-5) upon the Commandant, 5th Bn.

Haryana Armed Police, Madhuban, District Karnal-respondent No.3, which, till date, has not been responded to.

Counsel contends that the petitioner, at this stage, would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the Commandant, 5th Bn.
