It is the contention of the petitioner that for the purpose of conversion of Kollam-Punalur meter guage railway line into broad guage railway line different extent of properties comprised in different survey numbers, were acquired from the petitioners. The petitioners failed to seek for a reference under section 18 of the L.A.Act and subsequently, they filed Exts.P2 to P20 applications under section 28A of the L.A.Act for redetermination of the amount of compensation based on the judgment in LAR No.122/07 of the Subordinate Judge's Court, Kottarakkara. W.P.(C) No.5303 of 2014 2 2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader and taking note of the contentions of the petitioners that Exts.P2 to P20 applications submitted by them under section 28A of the Act are still pending before the third respondent I am inclined to dispose of this writ petition, without making any observation as to the merits of the contentions. Hence, it is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on Exts.P2 to P20 applications of the petitioners expeditiously and in accordance with law, at any rate, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
