Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, Naresh Kumar, son of Banarsi Dass, resident of Village Kharwan, Tehsil Jagadhri, District Yamunanagar, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in a case arising out of FIR No.62, dated 6.8.2012, registered at Police Station, Sadar, Jagadhri.

2. Learned counsel contends that non-commercial quantity of 790 grams of opium was recovered from the petitioner. He also contends that the petitioner is behind the bars from 6.8.2012.

3. Learned counsel for the State has admitted the fact that the contraband alleged to have been recovered from the petitioner falls within the ambit of non-commercial quantity.
