Petitioners are students who have been admitted to a faculty of Engineering CouRs.in the Government Engineering College at Rewa.
It is their contention that the State Government has issued a Circular as contained in Annexure P/6 and P/7 granting exemption from payment of tuition fees to children of employees working in the State Government who are Green Card holdeRs.Inter alia contending that parents of the petitioners are Green Card holders and in accordance to the policies and circulars of the State Government, petitioners are entitled to exemption from payment of Tuition fees, certain representations made by the petitioners for refund of tuition fees but as the same has not been considered, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.
As the claim of the petitioners are yet to be adjudicated by the competent authority and a decision taken on their representation, for the present without entering into the controveRs.on merits and the entitlement of the petitioneRs.respondents No.1, 2 and 4 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners for grant of exemption from payment of tuition fees in accordance to the policies and circulars applicable and take a decision within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
In case petitioners are found to be eligible for exemption, their tuition fees be refunded in accordance to law.
With the aforesaid, this petition stands disposed of.
