Preamble1 - West Bengal Minorities Commission Act, 1996 Section1 - Short title, extent and commencement Section2 - Definitions In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, Section3 - Constitution of the Commission Section4 - Functions of the Commission Section5 - Term of office and conditions of service of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Members and Member-Secretary Section6 - Procedure to be regulated by the Commission Section7 - Member-Secretary The Member-Secretary shall be whole-time, and shall be appointed by the State Government Section8 - Officers and other employees of the Commission Section9 - Salaries and allowances to be paid out of grants The allowances payable to the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Section10 - Grants by the State Government Section11 - Accounts and audit Section12 - Annual report Section13 - Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Members and staff of the Commission to be public servants The Chairperson, Section14 - Power to make rules Section15 - Power to remove difficulties Section16 - Repeal, saving and validation Section17 - Repeal The West Bengal Minorities' Commission Ordinance, 1996, is hereby repealed. Except with Section31 - Control of manufacture, storage and sale of Acupuncture instruments Subject to the provisions of any law for the time Section32 - Bar of suit or other legal proceedings No suit, prosecution or other legal proceedings shall lie in respect of any act Section33 - Validation No act or thing done by the Council, the Execu-tive Committee or a Committee appointed by the Council shall Section34 - Power to make rules Section35 - Power to make regulations Section36 - Publication of rules and regulations All rules and regulations shall be published in the Official Gazette Section37 - Control on Council by State Government If, at any time, it appears to the State Government that the Council has failed
