WHEREAS it is expedient to validate certain orders made by the First Land Acquisition Collector, Calcutta, under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the West Bengal Land (Requisition and Acquisition) Act, 1948, requisitioning lands in Calcutta for the purpose of creation of better living conditions in certain areas in Calcutta by the construction or reconstruction of dwelling places for people residing in such areas ; It is hereby enacted as follows Section 1 Short title This Act may be called the West Bengal Land (Requisition and Acquisition) (Validation of Orders) Act, 1965. Section 2 Interpretation. In this Act, the expressions "Calcutta" and "the First Land Acquisition Collector, Calcutta" have the same meaning as in the West Bengal Land (Requisition and Acquisition) Act, 1948. Section 3.....

Section 14 Penalty If any person contravenes any order made under this Act he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both. Section 15 Saving Save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, no decision or order made in exercise of any power conferred by or under this Act shall be called in question in any Court. Section 16 Exemption from stamp duty No award or agreement made under this Act shall be chargeable with stamp duty, and no person claiming under any such award or agreement shall be liable to pay any fee for a copy thereof. Where admission of a patient to a hospital, nursing home or other institution is sought for, the person in charge of admission of the patient to such hospital, nursing home or other institution shall impress on the patient or, if the patient is incapable of making a judgment, the person accompanying the patient, the implication and necessity of donation of the eyes of the patient to be used for therapeutic purposes in the event of death of the patient. A prescribed form of request shall be presented for signature of the patient or the person accompanying him.
