.....no suit, prosecution or proceeding shall lie against any officer of Government for anything in good faith done, or intended to be done, under this Act or any rules made thereunder. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Darjeeling and Kurseong Municipal (Porters) Act, 1883, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows: Section 1 Short title This Act may be called the Darjeeling and Kurseong Municipal (Porters) (Amendment) Act, 1954. Section 2 Substitution of "mazdoors" for "coolies" in Ben. Act 5 of 1883 [Incorporated in the principal Act.] Section 3 References to coolie to be construed as references to mazdoors References to the expression "coolie" and the expression "coolies" in any register kept, license granted or badge delivered under the said Act, shall be construed as references to the expression "mazdoor" and the expression "mazdoors" respectively.
