.....ACT, 1971] (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2008 THE UTTARAKHAND [THE UTTAR PRADESH STATE LEGISLATURE (PREVENTION OF DISQUALIFICATION) ACT, 1971] (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2008 [Act No. 9 of 2008] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971 (as applicable to the State of Uttarakhand) in the context of the State of Uttarakhand. It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-ninth year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand [The Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971] (Amendment) Act, 2008. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on November 19, 2008. Section 2 - Amendment in Section 3 In addition to the existing bodies in Clause (x) of Section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971 (as applicable to the State of Uttarakhand), the following bodies shall be inserted, namely:-- "(27) Sampurna Saksharta Karyakram Anushrawan Parishad. (28) Sampurna Rojgaar Guarantee Yojna Anushrawan Parishad. (29) Samekit Bal Vikaas Pariyojna Anushrawan Parishad. (30) Rashtriya Gramin Swasthyaya.....

Section 2 - Amendment of Section 2 of the principal Act In Section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Prevention of Disqualification) Act, 1971, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in clause (a), the word "honorarium" (whether the word salary, remuneration or any other word has been used for the purpose) shall be added before the word "daily allowance". Section 3 - Amendment of Section 3 of the principal Act In Section 3 of the principal Act-- (a) for clause (x), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-- "(x) The office of the Chairman, or Vice-Chairman or Member (whether called Director or by any other name) of each of the following bodies, namely:-- (1) Rajya Apda Rahat Samiti.
