The Tripura Sales Tax, 1976 Complete Act

.....or context- (a) "Commissioner" means the Commissioner appointed under section 4 ; (b) "dealer" means any person who sells taxable goods manufactured, made or processed by him in Tripura or brought by him into Tripura from any place outside Tripura for the purpose of sale of Tripura Substituted by The Tripura Sales Tax (Third Amendment) Act, 1984, w. e. f. 12.7.1984.[and includes Government and any person making a sale under section 3A ; (c) "Official Gazette" means the Tripura Gazette ; (d) "person" means and includes :- (i) an individual, (ii) a Hindu undivided or a joint family, (iii) a company, (iv) a firm, (v) an association of persons or body of individuals whether incorporated or not, (vi) a Department of any Government, (vii) a local authority, and (viii) every artificial juridical person, not falling within any of the preceding sub-clauses ; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules under this Act ; (f) "registered dealer" means a dealer registered under this Act ; Substituted by The Tripura Sales Tax (Third Amendment) Act, 1984, w. e. f. 12.7.1984. .....the mortgage or charge executed in favour of a bank shall have priority over the mortgage or charge in favour of such person irrespective of the fact whether the mortgage or charge in favour of the bank was executed before or after the date of the mortgage or charge in favour of such person. Explanation. - In this sub-section the word "person" shall not include the State Government or any co-operative society. (2) Where in respect of the same land different mortgages or charges have been executed by an agriculturist in favour of,-- (i) the State Government, (ii) a co-operative society, and (iii) one or more banks, such mortgages or charges shall rank for priority in accordance with the respective dates of their execution. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, where different mortgages or charges have been executed by an agriculturist in respect of the same land for obtaining crop loan from one bank and a subsequent term loan from another bank then the mortgage or charge in relation to the subsequent term loan shall have priority over the mortgage or charge in relation to the crop loan provided the mortgage or charge.....

THE TRIPURA PREVENTION OF DEFACEMENT OF PROPERTY ACT, 1976 THE TRIPURA PREVENTION OF DEFACEMENT OF PROPERTY ACT, 1976 An Act to provide for the prevention of defacement of property. Where it is expendient in the public interest to provide for the prevention of defacement of property and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of Tripura, as follows :- Short title, extent and application. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1976. (2) It extends to the whole of Tripura. (3) It shall apply in the first instance to Municipal limits of Agartala town, but the State Government may, from time to time by notification in the Official Gazette, apply it to such other local area or areas as may be specified in the notification. Definitions. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,--- (a) "defacement" includes impairing or interfering with the appearance or beauty, damaging, disfiguring, spoiling or injuring in any other way whatsoever and the word "deface" shall be construed accordingly ; (b).....
