THE SIKKIM VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2000 THE SIKKIM VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2000 ( ACT NO. 5 OF 2005) An ACT t o consolidate the law relating to the levy of tax on sale or purchase of goods in the State of Sikkim and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Fifty-Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title, extent and commencement (1) This Act may be called The Sikkim Value Added Tax Act, 2005 . (2) It extends to the whole of Sikkim.
