Finance Act, 1986 Section 6

Title: Amendment of Section 24

In section 24 of the Income-tax Act, for sub-section (2), the following sub-sections shall be substituted with effect from the 1st day of April, 1987, namely :- "(2) No deduction shall be allowed under sub-section (1) in respect of property of the nature referred to in sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (2), or sub-section (3), of section 23 : Provided that nothing in this sub-section shall apply to the allowance of a deduction under clause (vi) of sub-section (1) of an amount not exceeding five thousand rupees in respect of the property of the nature referred to in sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 23. (3) The total amount deductible under sub-section (1) in respect of property of the nature referred to in sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 23 shall not exceed the annual value of the property as determined under that section."

Consumer Protection Act, 1986 Section 6

Title: Objects of the Central Council

The objects of the Central Council shall be to promote and protect the rights of the consumers such as,-- (a) the right to be protected against the marketing of goods1[and services] which are hazardous to life and property; (b) the right to be informed about the quality, quantity, potency, purity, standard and price of goods1[or services, as the case may be] so as to protect the consumer against unfair trade practices; (c) the right to be assured, wherever possible, access to a variety of goods1[and services] at competitive prices; (d) the right to be heard and to be assured that consumer's interests will receive due consideration at appropriate fora; (e) the right to seek redressal against unfair trade practices1for restrictive trade practices] or unscrupulous exploitation of consumers; and (f) the right to consumer education. _______________________ 1. .....S.O. 265(E), dated the 13th April, 1978, issued under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 18AA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951. Section 18 - Claims to be made to the Commissioner Every person having a claim against the Company in relation to the textile undertakings with regard to any of the matters specified in the Schedule shall prefer such claim before the Commissioner within thirty days from the specified date : Provided that if the Commissioner is satisfied that the claimant was prevented by sufficient cause from preferring the claim within the said period of thirty days, he may entertain the claim within a further period of thirty days, but not thereafter. Section 19 - Priorities of claims The claims arising out of matters specified in the Schedule shall have priorities in accordance with the following principles namely : (a) Category I shall have precedence over all other categories and Category II shall have precedence over Category III and so on; (b) the claims specified in each of the categories, shall rank equally and be paid in full, but, if the amount is insufficient to meet such claims in full, they shall abate in equal.....

Title: Transfer of Assets and Liabilities of the Cardamom Board and the Spices Export Promotion Council to the Board

.....hold his office or service under the Board with the same rights and privileges as to pension, gratuity and other matters as would have been admissible to him if there had been no such vesting; and shall continue to do unless and until his employment under the Board is duly terminated or until his remuneration and other conditions of service are duly altered by the Board. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 or in any other law for the time being in force, the absorption of any employee by the Board in its regular service under this section shall not entitle such employee to any compensation under that Act or other law and no such claim shall be entertained by any Court, tribunal or other authority.

Delhi Apartment Ownership Act, 1986 Section 6

Title: Ownership of Apartment Subject to Conditions

State: Central

Year: 1986

Where any allotment, sale or other transfer of any apartment has been made, whether before or after the commencement of this Act, in pursuance of any promise of payment, or part payment, of the consideration thereof, the allottee or transferee, as the case may be, shall not become entitled to the ownership and possession of that apartment on to a percentage of undivided interest in the common areas and facilities apurtenant to such apartment, until full payment has been made of the consideration thereof together with interest, if any due thereon, and where any such allottee or transferee has been inducted into the possession of such apartment or any part thereof in pursuance of such allotment or transfer, he shall, until the full payment of the consideration has been made, continue to remain in possession thereof on the same terms and conditions on which he was so inducted into possession of such apartment of part thereof.
