.....income of the assessee for the previous year relevant to the assessment year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1999, (B) for sub-rule (4), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely : '(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in this rule, no loss which has not been determined by the Assessing Officer under the provisions of these rules or the rules contained in Part IV of the First Schedule to the Finance Act, 1990 (12 of 1990), or of the First Schedule to the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1991 (49 of 199 1), or of the First Schedule to the Finance Act, 1992 (18 of 1992), or the First Schedule to the Finance Act, 1993 (38 of 1993), or of the First Schedule to the Finance Act, 1994 (32 of 1994), or of the First Schedule to the Finance Act, 1995 (22 of 1995), or of the First Schedule to the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1996 (33 of 1996), or of the First Schedule to the Finance Act 1997 (26 of 1997), shall be set off under sub-rule (l) or, as the case may be, sub-rule (2).'

(2) The following shall form part of or be paid into the Board Fund, namely:- (i) the income from Palace or proceeds of any property vested in the Board; (ii) all fees and charges paid to or levied by or on behalf of the Board under this Act; (iii) all grants, and contributions made by the State Government or any other authority; (iv) all contributions and donations made by any person; (v) sums raised by way of loan by the Board with the previous sanction of the State Government; and (vi) any other sums.

RULE 02: DEFINITIONS In these rules, (i) "Act" means the Leaders and Chief Whips of Recognised Parties and Groups in Parliament (Facilities) Act, 1998 (5 of 1999). FINANCE (NO. 2) ACT, 1998 FINANCE (NO. 2) ACT, 1998 21 of 1998 An Act to give effect to the financial proposals of the Central Government for the financial year 1998-99 BE it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1998. (2) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, sections 2 to 98 (except section 51) shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 1998. SECTION 02: INCOME -TAX (1) Subject to the provisions of sub-sections (2) and (3), for the assessment year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1998, income-tax shall be charged at the rates specified in Part I of the First Schedule. (2) In the cases to which Paragraph A of Part I of the First Schedule applies, where the assessee has, in the previous year, any net agricultural income exceeding six hundred rupees, in addition to total income, and the total income exceeds forty thousand rupees, then,- (a) the net agricultural income shall be taken into account, in the manner provided in clause (b) [that is to say, as if the net agricultural income were comprised in.....
