The Street Vendors (Protection Of Livelihood And Regulation Of Street Vending) Act, 2014 Complete Act

Title: Joint and Several Liability of Vendor, Etc., for Unpaid Common Expenses

(1) Upon the sale, bequest or other transfer of an apartment, the purchaser of the apartment or the grantee or legatee or the transferee, as the case may be, shall be jointly and severally liable with the vendor or the transferor for all unpaid assessments against the vendor or transferor for his share of the common expenses up to the time of the sale, bequest or other transfer, without prejudice to the right of the purchaser, grantee, legatee or transferee to recover from the vendor or the transferor any amount paid by the purchaser, grantee, legatee or transferee therefor. (2) Any purchaser, grantee, legatee or transferee referred to in sub-section (1) shall be entitled to a statement from the Board or Manager setting forth the amount of the unpaid assessment against the vendor or transferor, as the case may be, and such purchaser, grantee, legatee or transferee shall not be liable for, nor shall the apartment be sold subject to a charge for any unpaid share of common expenses against such apartment accrued prior to such sale, bequest or other transfer, in excess of the amount set forth in the statement.

Apartment Ownership Act, 1972 Section 20

Title: Joint and Several Liability of Vendor, Etc, for Unpaid Common Expenses

(1) Upon the sale of an apartment, the purchaser of the apartment shall be jointly and severally liable with the vendor for all unpaid assessments against the latter for his share of the common expenses upto the time of the sale without prejudice to the purchasers or grantees right to recover from the vendor the amount paid by the purchaser or grantee therefor. (2) A purchaser referred to in sub-section (1) shall be entitled to a statement from the Secretary or Board of Managers, setting forth the amount of the unpaid assessment against the vendor and such purchaser or grantee shall not be liable for, nor shall the apartment sold be subject to a charge for any unpaid share of common expenses against such apartment accrued prior to such sale or bequest in excess of the amount therein set forth.

Title: Use of Public Road or Place by Vendors and Other Person and Penalty Thereof

(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules and bye-laws made thereunder, no itinerant vendor or any other person shall use or occupy any public road or place for the sale of articles or for the exercise of any calling, or for setting up any booth or stall without the permission of the Nagar Panchayat or of the Council. (2) Whoever violate the provision of sub-section (1) shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two thousand five hundred rupees and with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees for every subsequent offence after the first conviction.

KARNATAKA PROHIBITION ACT, 1961 Section 28

The State Government, or, subject to its control, the Deputy Commissioner, may grant a vendor's licence subject to the following conditions:-- (i) the stock of foreign liquor with the licensee (except what is permitted for disposal in the shop) shall be kept by him at a warehouse approved by Government; (ii) the licensee shall be allowed to select his own warehouse and fix its rent with the owner: Provided that on failure to select such warehouse, the warehouse shall be selected by the licensing authority; (iii) the licensee shall pay all rents, costs, charges and expenses incidental to warehousing and supervision; (iv) the licensee may sell any part of the stock of foreign liquor to licensees in the State or to any persons outside the State, subject to such conditions as the Commissioner may prescribe; (v) the licensee may sell only to holders of permits or authorisations; (vi) the licensee shall be entitled to keep in his shop such quantities of liquor as may be permitted by the licensing authority from time to time for retail sale; (vii) the licensee shall keep account and shall dispose of the goods according to such instructions as may be given by the Commissi
