Title: Power to Issue Interim Orders

.....Prior to subtitution it read as: "33. Power to grant interim relief (1) Where during an inquiry before the Commission, it is proved to the satisfaction of the Commission, by affidavit or otherwise, that an act in contravention of sub-section (1) of section 3 or sub-section (1) of section 4 or section 6 has been committed and continues to be committed or that such act is about to be committed, the Commission may, by order, grant a temporary injunction restraining any party from carrying on such act until the conclusion of such inquiry or until further orders, without giving notice to the opposite party, where it deems it necessary. (2) Where during the inquiry before the Commission it is proved to the satisfaction of the Commission by affidavit or otherwise that import of any goods is likely to contravene sub-section (1) of section 3 or sub-section (1) of section 4 or section 6, it may, by order, grant a temporary injunction restraining any party from importing such goods until the conclusion of such inquiry or until further orders, without giving notice to the opposite party, where it deems it necessary and a copy of such order granting temporary injunction shall be sent.....

Navy Act, 1957 Section 148

Title: Interim Custody Until Execution of Sentence of Death

A person sentenced to death may be detained in naval custody or may be removed to a civil prison to be kept in custody until further orders be received from the Central Government, the Chief of the Naval Staff or the officer ordering the court-martial by which he was sentenced to, death or other prescribed officer and the order in the prescribed form of the Central Government, the Chief of the Naval Staff or the convening authority or such officer shall be sufficient warrant for detaining the person in custody.

Coast Guard Act, 1978 Section 97

Title: Interim Custody Until Execution of Sentence of Death

A person sentenced to death may be detained in Coast Guard custody or may be removed to a civil prison to be kept in custody until further orders are received from the Central Government, the Director-General or the convening authority of the Coast Guard Court by which he was sentenced to death or other prescribed officer, and the order of the Central Government, the Director-General or the convening authority or such officer shall be sufficient warrant for detaining the person in custody.

Title: Stay of Proceedings on Order of Court

Where the Bank contemplates making with reference to any Government security any order which it is empowered to make under this Act, and before the order is made the Bank receives from a Court in India an order to stay the making of such order, the Bank shall either-- (a) hold the security together with any interest unpaid or accruing thereon until further orders of the Court are received; or (b) apply to the Court to have the security transferred to the Official Trustees appointed for the State in which such Court is situated, pending the disposal of the proceedings before the Court.

Interim order by 1 [2 [3 [Tribunal]]]. - (1) Where during the pendency of a case before the 1 [2 [3 [Tribunal]]] it appears necessary to the 1 [2 [3 [Tribunal]]] so to do in the interest of the members or creditors of the company or in the public interest, the 1 [2 [3 [Tribunal]]] may on the application of the Central Government or on its own motion, by an order-- (a) direct that the respondent shall not discharge any of the duties of his office until further orders of the 1 [2 [3 [Tribunal]]], and (b) appoint a suitable person in pace of the respondent to discharge the duties of the office held by the respondent subject to such terms and conditions as the 1 [2 [3 [Tribunal]]] may specify in the order. (2) Every person appointed under clause (b) of sub-section (1) shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860). __________________ 1.
