Provident Funds Act, 1925 Section 6A

Title: Witholding or Recovery of Government Contributions in Case of Central Government Officers Taking Up, Without Prior Permission, Commercial Employment Within Two Years of their Retirement.

.....under this Section to a Central Government officer for taking up any commercial employment the Central Government shall have regard to the following factors, namely: (a) the nature of the employment proposed to be taken up and the antecedent of the employment ; (b) whether his duties in the employment which he proposes to take up might be such as to bring him into conflict with Government: (c) whether the officer white in service had any such dealing with the employer under whom he proposes to seek employment as might afford a reasonable basis for the suspicion that such officer had shown favour to such employer : (d) any other relevant factors which may be prescribed. (5) Where within a period of sixty days of the date of receipt of an application under sub-Section (3), the Central Government does not refuse to grant the permission applied for or does not communicate the refusal to the applicant, the Central Government shall be deemed to have granted the permission applied for. (6) Where the Central Government grants the permission applied for subject to any condition or refuses such permission, the applicant may, within thirty days of the receipt of the order of the.....

Title: Permission for Taking Up Unoccupied Land

(1) No person shall take up an unoccupied land which is not alienated unless he has obtained, before entering upon such occupation, the permission in writing of the Tahsildar of the taluk in which such land is situated. (2) Subject to the provisions of section 91, and such rules as may bemade by the State Government in this behalf, the Tahsildar may grant to any person desirous of taking up an unoccupied land the permission required under sub-section (1).

Title: Power of Board to Take Up Works for Further Development

Banglore Development Authority Act, 1976 Section 25

Title: Power of Authority to Take Up Works for Further Development

State: Karnataka

(1) Notwith-standing anything contained in any other provision of this Act, the Authority may, with the previous sanction of the Government, take up such works as the Authority considers necessary or desirable for the further development of any area within the Bangalore Metropolitan Area : Provided that the Corporation shall be consulted if such area lies within the limits of the City of Bangalore. (2) The expenditure incurred or proposed to be incurred or such portion thereof as may be determined by the Authority and approved by the Government in carrying out such works may recovered by a pro-rata levy on the owners of properties benefitted by such works as may be determined by the Authority. The said sum may be recovered as any other sum due to the Authority under the provisions of this Act.

THE LALIT KALA AKADAMI (TAKING OVER OF MANAGEMENT) ACT, 1997 [Act, No. 17 of 1997] [25th March, 1997] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the taking over of the management of the Lalit Kala Akadami for a limited period in the public interest and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. WHEREAS the Lalit Kala Akadami was set up as an apex cultural body in the field of visual arts by the Government of India by the Parliamentary Resolution passed on the 5th day of August, 1954 to encourage and promote visual arts such as paintings, graphics, sculptures, etc.; AND WHEREAS the Lalit Kala Akadami was regisiercd as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (21 of 1860) on the 11th day of March, 1957; AND WHEREAS the Akadami has full functional autonomy in the Held of its activity, even though the Government of India is the sole-funding agency for the organisation; AND WHEREAS pursuant to the complaints received with regard to the misuse of funds by the Lalit Kala Akadami from several quarters including from the Hon'ble Members of Parliament, a Committee was set up by the Government of India by Resolution dated the 24th day of March, 1988 under the.....

Title: Streets Not to Be Opened or Broken Up and Building Materials Not to Be Deposited Thereon Without Permission

Sugar Undertakings (Taking over of Management) Act, 1978 Chapter II

Sick Textile Undertakings (Taking over of Management) Act, 1972 Section 8

Title: Textile Companies Not to Wound Up

(1) No proceeding for the winding up of a textile company, within the meaning of this Act, shall lie in any Court or be continued whether by or under the supervision of any Court or voluntarily, except with the consent of the Central Government. (2) In computing the period of limitation prescribed by any law for the time being in force for any application which may be made in the course of winding up of any textile company in respect of any matter arising out of any transaction in relation to a sick textile undertaking, the time during which the making of such application was barred by this Act, shall be excluded.
