1[48. Transitional provision relating to Bombay State Road Transport Corporation Notwithstanding anything contained in section 47-A it shall be lawful for the Government of the State of Bombay to frame a scheme under sub-section (1) thereof and forward the same to the Central Government before the 1st day of May, 1960, and in such a case, the power conferred on the Central Government to make an order under sub-section (2) thereof may be exercised before that day but no order so made shall take effect till that day.] _____________________ 1. .....referred to in this section as the existing Fund) shall be deemed to be the Fund established under this Act and,-- (a) all schemes relating to development and maintenance of national highways and Slate roads sanctioned under the existing Fund in so far as such schemes are relatable to the schemes under this Act, shall be deemed to be the schemes sanctioned under this Act; (b) all funds accrued under the existing Fund including assets and liabilities shall be transferred to the Fund established under this Act. Section 15 - Repeal and saving (1) The Central Road Fund Ordinance, 2000 (Ord. 5 of 2000) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.

Short Title .-This Act may be called the Kerala Public Service Commission (Additional Functions as respects the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) Act, 1970. 2. .....(Additional Functions as respect the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation Act, 1970 (3 of 1970) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after section 3, the following section shall be inserted, namely:- " 3A Appointment of persons in Sports Quota .- Notwithstanding anything contained in section 3, it shall not be necessary to consult the Public Service Commission in respect of any of the matters specified in clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (1) thereof, in so far as it relates to appointment by direct recruitment of persons proficient in sports and games to such of the vacancies in the posts reserved by the Corporation in a year for such appointment.". 3. Amendment of section 4.- In sub-section (2) of section 4 of the principal Act, after clause (b) the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- "(c) any matter in respect of which shall not be necessary to consult the Public Service Commission.". 4. Title: Establishment of Central Road Fund

(1) With effect from such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, there shall be established for the purposes of this Act, a Fund to be called as the "Central Road Fund". (2) The Fund shall be under the control of the Central Government and there shall be credited thereto-- (a) any sums of money paid under section 4 or section 5; (b) unspent part of the cess, being already levied for the purposes of the development and maintenance of national highways; (c) the sums, if any, realised by the Central Government in carrying out its functions or in the administration of this Act; (d) any fund provided by the Central Government for the development and maintenance of State roads. (3) The balance to the credit of the Fund shall not lapse at the end of the financial year.
