.....ORDERS 44(1) The State Government may, in consultation with the Chairman and the Speaker, make rules or orders for carrying out the purposes of this Act.(1A) All rules or orders made under this Act shall be laid before both Houses of State Legislature as soon as may be after they are made.] (2) Any rule or order made under this section may be made so as to be retrospective to any date not earlier than the 1st day of November. 1956. (3) Rules or orders made under this section shall have effect as if enacted in this Act. SECTION 14: REPEAL The Bombay Legislative Council (Chairman and Deputy Chairman) and the Bombay Legislative Assembly (Speaker and Deputy Speaker) Salaries and Allowances Act, 1952 (Bom. VIII of 1952) (in this section referred to as "the said Act") and any law corresponding to the provisions of this Act in force immediately before the 1st day of November, 1956 in or in relation to any territories which after that date form part of the new 45State of Bombay shall stand repealed: Provided that notwithstanding such repeal any rules or orders made under the said Act shall, so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, continue in force and be.....

[28th March, 1977] Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows: Short title and Commencement. 1. (I) This Act may be called the (Subs. by see 2 (a) of the S. S. & A. (Amd.) Act, No.6 of 1980 (w.e.f.25.l0.1979) [Sikkim Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Act,] 1977. (2) The provisions of this Act shall come into force at once except the provisions of section 3 which shall come and shall always be deemed to have come into force with effect from the Ist day of April, 1976. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Nagaland Speaker's salaries and Allowances Act, 1964 (Nagaland Act No. 5 of 1964) in the manner here under appearing : It is hereby enacted in the fiftieth year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT. (i) This Act may be called the NAGALAND SPEAKER'S SALAIUES AND ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1999. (ii) It shall come into force on such date as the state Government may by notification in official gazette appoint. 2. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2 Section 2 of the Nagaland Speaker's salaries and allowances act 1964 (Nagaland Act. No. 4 of 1964), shall be substituted by the following as hereunder: There shall be paid to the Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly a salary of rupees nine thousand per.....

.....and which were in force immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall, in so far as they are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, and until rules are framed under this Act in respect of such matter, be deemed to be made under this Act. (2) Every rule made under this section shall be laid as soon as may be after it is made before the House of the State Legislature while it is in session for a total period of ten days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session in which it is so laid or the successive sessions aforesaid, the House agrees in making any modification in the rule or the House agrees that the rule should not be made, the rules shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so however, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that rule. 9.
