National Biodiversity Authority to bebound by the directions given by Central Government.-- (1) Without prejudice to theforegoing provisions of this Act, the National Biodiversity Authority shall, in the discharge of itsfunctions and duties under this Act, be bound by such directions on questionsof policy as the Central Government may give in writing to it from time totime: Provided that the NationalBiodiversity Authority shall, asfar as practicable, be given opportunity to express its views before anydirection is given under this sub-section. PREVENTION OF MONEY LAUNDERING ACT, 2002 PREVENTION OF MONEY LAUNDERING ACT, 2002 An Act to prevent money-laundering and to provide for confiscation of property derived from, or involved in, money-laundering and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER 01 PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 Chapter III

Title: Attachment, Adjudication and Confiscation

.....sub-section (1) shall cease to have effect after the expiry of the period specified in that sub-section or on the date of an order made under sub-section (2) of section 8, whichever is earlier. (4) Nothing in this section shall prevent the person interested in the enjoyment of the immovable property attached under sub-section (1) from such enjoyment. Explanation.--For the purposes of this sub-section, "person interested", in relation to any immovable property, includes all persons claiming or entitled to claim any interest in the property.
