Inland Vessels Act, 1917 Section 8

Title: Sending of Declaration by Owner or Master to State Government

(1) The owner or master of a1[mechanically propelled vessel] to whom a declaration is given under section 7 shall, within fourteen days after the date of the receipt thereof, send the declaration to such officer as the2[State Government] may, by notification in the3[Official Gazette], appoint in this behalf. (2) If any owner or master fails to send a declaration as required by sub-section (1), he shall forfeit a sum not exceeding five rupees for every day during which the sending of the declaration is delayed. ________________________ 1. For the words "Steam-Vessel" and "Steam-vessels" wherever they occur throughout the Act the words "mechanically propelled vessel" and "Mechanically propelled vessels" substituted respectively (w.e.f. 1-5-1978) 2. Title: Sending of Declaration by Owner, Agent or Master to Central Government

(1) The owner, agent or master to whom a declaration of survey is given shall, within fourteen days after the dale of the receipt thereof, send the declaration to such officer as the Central Government may appoint in this behalf. (2) If the owner, agent or master fails to do so, he shall forfeit a sum not exceeding five rupees for every day during which the sending of the declaration is delayed and shall pay any sum so forfeited on the delivery of the certificate of survey.

Central Excise Act, 1944 Section 32L

Title: Power of Settlement Commission to Send a Case Back to the Central Excise Officer

.....before it, send the case back to the Central Excise Officer having jurisdiction who shall thereupon dispose of the case in accordance with the provisions of this Act as if no application under section 32E had been made. (2) For the purpose of sub-section (1), the Central Excise Officer shall be entitled to use all the materials and other information produced by the assessee before the Settlement Commission or the results of the enquiry held or evidence recorded by the Settlement Commission in the course of the proceedings before it as if such materials, information, inquiry and evidence had been produced before such Central Excise Officer or held or recorded by him in the course of the proceedings before him. (3) For the purposes of the time limit under section 11A and for the purposes of interest under section 11BB, in a case referred to in sub-section (1), the period commencing on and from the date of the application to the Settlement Commission under section 32E and ending with the date of receipt by the Central Excise Officer of the order of the Settlement Commission sending the case back to the Central Excise Officer shall be excluded.

Title: Punishment for Sending Offensive Messages Through Communication Service, Etc.

.....intimidation, enmity, hatred or ill will, persistently by making use of such computer resource or a communication device, (c) any electronic mail or electronic mail message for the purpose of causing annoyance or inconvenience or to deceive or to mislead the addressee or recipient about the origin of such messages, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and with fine. 'Explanation.- For the purpose of this section, terms "electronic mail" and "electronic mail message" means a message or information created or transmitted or received on a computer, computer system, computer resource or communication device including attachments in text, images, audio, video and any other electronic record, which may be transmitted with the message. ______________________ 1. Indian Post Office Act, 1898 Section 56

Title: Penalty for Fraudulently Sending Unpaid Postal Articles

Whoever, being an officer of the Post Office, sends by post, or puts into any mail bag, any postal article upon which postage has not been paid or charged in the manner prescribed by this Act, intending thereby to defraud the Government of the postage on such postal article, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, and shall also be punishable with fine.

Title: Sending of Child Having Place of Residence Outside Jurisdiction

(1) In the case of a child whose ordinary place of residence lies outside the jurisdiction of the court before which it is brought, the court may, if satisfied after due inquiry that it is expedient so to do, send the child on his own bond back to a relative or a fit person who is fit and willing to receive him at his native place and exercise proper care and control of him. Karnataka Prisons Act, 1963 Section 39

Title: Power of Superintendent to Send a Prisoner to Hospital or Asylum for Special Treatment

.....to the prisoner or any relative or friend of the prisoner executing such bond and abiding by such conditions, if any, as the State Government may by rule or order prescribe. Any period during which the prisoner is undergoing treatment in such hospital or asylum or spent by him in going thereto, or returning therefrom shall be deemed to be part of the period of his detention in the prison. Explanation 1.--Nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to affect the operation of section 11 of the 1 [Karnataka] Prisoners Act, 1963, in cases in which that section applies. Explanation 2.--In this section "prisoner" means a convicted criminal prisoner. (2) If any prisoner dealt with under sub--section (1) escapes or attempts to escape from the hospital or asylum to which he has been sent or when going thereto or returning therefrom, he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or with both; and such punishment shall be in addition to the punishment for which the prisoner was liable for the offence of which he was already convicted.
