.....vesting in the 1 [Grama Panchayat] shall be transferred to the corporation fund as the Government may, by order in writing, direct; (b) the rights and liabilities of the 1 [Gramal Panchayat] in respect of civil and criminal proceedings, contracts, and other matters or things (including arrears of taxes, fees and cess) arising in or relating to the part of the area included in the 1 [larger urban area] shall vest in the corporation; and such rights and liabilities may be enforced by or against the corporation under this Act or the rules, bye-laws and orders made thereunder; (c) such officers and servants of the 1 [Grama Panchayat] shall be transferred to the corporation as the Government may, by order, direct. _______________________ 1. (1) Notice of any resolution passed at a creditors' meeting in pursuance of section 500 shall be given by the company to the Registrar within ten days of the passing thereof. (2) If default is made in complying with sub-section (1), the company, and every officer of the company who is in default, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to1[five hundred rupees] for every day during which the default continues. For the purposes of this section, a liquidator of the company shall be deemed to be an officer of the company. ____________________ 1. (1) On a conviction under section 292, section 293, section 501 or section 502 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), the Court may order the destruction of all the copies of the thing in respect of which the conviction was had, and which are in the custody of the Court or remain in the possession or power of the person convicted. (2) The Court may, in like manner, on a conviction under section 272, section 273, section 274, or section 275 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860), order the food, drink drug or medical preparation in respect of which the conviction was had, to be destroyed. STATE AMENDMENT 1Tamil Nadu: In sub-section (1) of section 455, after the word and figures "section 292" the word, figures and letter "section 292A" shall be inserted. ______________________ 1.
