Title: Culpable Homicide by Causing Death of Person Other Than Person Whose Death Was Intended

If a person, by doing anything which he intends or knows to be likely to cause death, commits culpable homicide by causing the death of any person, whose death he neither intends nor knows himself to be likely to cause, the culpable homicide committed by the offender is of the description of which it would have been if he had caused the death of the person whose death he intended or knew himself to be likely to cause.

Title: Period Within Which Commissioner is to Grant or Refuse to Grant Permission to Execute Work

1 [(1)] Within thirty days after the receipt of any application made under section 299 for permission to execute any work or of any information or of documents or further information or documents required under rules or bye-laws the Commissioner shall, by written order, either grant such permission or refuse on one or more of the grounds mentioned in section 303 or section 304 to grant it. 2 [(2) If the Commissioner has not within the said period of thirty days passed any order, the applicant may address a letter to the Commissioner by name, requesting him to pass necessary orders on his application, and the Commissioner shall, within a further period of 30 days from the date of receipt of such letter, by written order, either grant such permission or refuse, on one or more of the grounds mentioned in section 303 or section 304, to grant it.] _______________ 1. If a Grama Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat makes default in the payments of any amount, loan installments or interest due to the Government, the Karnataka State Electricity Board or the salaries, allowances or leave and pensionary contributions of Government servant deputed for service under such Panchayats, the Government may make an order directing the person having the custody of the Fund of the Panchayats concerned to pay the amount due in priority to any other charge against such fund and such person shall so far as the amounts to the credit of such Fund admit be bound to comply with the order.

(1) No place which has not been used as a burning or burial ground before the commencement of this Act shall be so used without the permission in writing of the Chairperson. (2) Such permission may be granted subject to any conditions which the Chairperson may think fit to impose for the purpose of preventing any annoyance to, or danger to the health of, any person residing in the neighbourhood.
