Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 2013, Section 24

Title: Certain Restrictions on Foreign Companies or Individual or Association of Persons

The aggregate holding of equity shares by a foreign company either by itself or through its subsidiary companies or its nominees or by an individual or by an association of persons whether registered or not under any law of a country outside India taken in aggregate in the pension fund shall not exceed twenty-six per cent, of the paid-up capital of such fund or such percentage as may be approved for an Indian insurance company under the provisions of the Insurance Act, 1938(4 of 1938), whichever is higher. Explanation. -- For the purposes of this section, the expression "foreign company" shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause (23A) of section 2 of the Income-tax Act, 1961(43 of 1961).

(5) No proceeding of a Vigilance Committees shall be invalid merely by reason of any defect in its constitution.

Explanation.--For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that all powers relating to all other matters relating to prospectus, return of allotment, redemption of preference shares and any other matter specifically provided in this Act, shall be exercised by the Central Government, the Tribunal or the Registrar, as the case may be. (2) The Securities and Exchange Board shall, in respect of matters specified in subsection (1) and the matters delegated to it under proviso to sub-section (1) of section 458, exercise the powers conferred upon it under sub-sections (1), (2A), (3) and (4) of section 11, sections 11A, 11B and 11D of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992).

National Food Security Act, 2013, Section 24

Title: Implementation and Monitoring of Schemes for Ensuring Food Security

Title: Land Acquisition Process Under Act No 1 of 1894 Shall Be Deemed to Have Lapsed in Certain Cases

.....of compensation shall apply; or (b) where an award under said section 11 has been made, then such proceedings shall continue under the provisions of the said Land Acquisition Act, as if the said Act has not been repealed. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), in case of land acquisition proceedings initiated under the Land Acquisition Act. 1894, where an award under the said section 11 has been made five years or more prior to the commencement of this Act but the physical possession of the land has not been taken or the compensation has not been paid the said proceedings shall be deemed to have lapsed and the appropriate Government, if it so chooses, shall initiate the proceedings of such land acquisition afresh in accordance with the provisions of this Act: Provided that where an award has been made and compensation in respect of a majority of land holdings has not been deposited in the account of the beneficiaries, then, all beneficiaries specified in the notification for acquisition under section 4 of the said Land Acquisition Act, shall be entitled to compensation in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, (Central) Section 24

Title: Recording of Statement of a Child

(1) The statement of the child shall be recorded at the residence of the child or at a place where he usually resides or at the place of his choice and as far as practicable by a woman police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector. (2) The police officer while recording the statement of the child shall not be in uniform. (3) The police officer making the investigation, shall, while examining the child, ensure that at no point of time the child come in the contact in any way with the accused. (4) No child shall be detained in the police station in the night for any reason. (5) The police officer shall ensure that the identity of the child is protected from the public media, unless otherwise directed by the Special Court in the interest of the child.
