Title: Accounts Andaudit

(1) The Board shall maintain proper accounts and other relevant records and prepare an annual statement of accounts of the Trust including the income and expenditure accounts in such form as the Central Government may prescribe and in accordance with such general direction as may be issued by that Government in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India. (2) The accounts of the Trust shall be audited by the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India at such intervals as may be specified by him and any expenditure incurred by him in connection with such audit shall be payable by the Board to the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India. (3) The Comptroller and Auditor-General of India and any other person appointed by him in connection with the audit of the accounts of the Trust shall have the same rights, privileges and authority in connection with such audit as the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India generally has in connection with the audit of the Government accounts and in particular, shall have the right to demand the production of books of account, connected vouchers and other documents and papers and to inspect any of the offices of the Trust.

Title: Disbursement of Money by the Commissioner to Claimants

Title: Restriction on Settlement, Etc.

No person resident in India shall except with the general or special permission of the Reserve Bank, settle, or make a gift of, any property so that a person who at the time of the settlement or the making of the gift is resident outside India, elsewhere than in the territories notified in this behalf by the Reserve Bank, will have an interest in the property, or exercise any power for payment in favour of a person who at the time of the exercise of the power is resident outside India elsewhere than in such notified territories: Provided that any settlement or gift made or any power exercised as aforesaid without the permission of the Reserve Bank shall not be invalid merely on the ground that such permission has not been obtained.

Title: Restrictions of Advertisement and Prohibition as to Unfair Trade Practices

(1) No advertisement shall be made of any food which is misleading or deceiving or contravenes the provisions of this Act, the rules and regulations made thereunder. (2) No person shall engage himself in any unfair trade practice for purpose of promoting the sale, supply, use and consumption of articles of food or adopt any unfair or deceptive practice including the practice of making any statement, whether orally or in writing or by visible representation which-- (a) falsely represents that the foods are of a particular standard, quality, quantity or grade-composition; (b) makes a false or misleading representation concerning the need for, or the usefulness; (c) gives to the public any guarantee of the efficacy that is not based on an adequate or scientific justification thereof: Provided that where a defence is raised to the effect that such guarantee is based on adequate or scientific justification, the burden of proof of such defence shall lie on the person raising such defence.

Title: Contents of Inquisition

Every inquisition under this Act shall be signed by the Coroner with his name and style of office and by the jurors, and shall set forth-- (1) where, when and before whom the inquisition is holden, (2) who the deceased is, (3) where his body lies, (4) the names of the jurors, and that they present the inquisition upon oath, (5) where, when and by what means the deceased came by his death, and (6) if his death was occasioned by the criminal act of another, who is guilty thereof. If the name of the deceased be unknown, he may be described as a certain person to the jurors unknown. Every such inquisition shall be in the form set forth in the Second Schedule hereto annexed, with such variation as the circumstances of each case require.
