Section 116 - Execution of orders 1[116. Execution of orders (1) Any sum the payment of which has been directed by an order of the Tahsildar or other authority shall be recoverable from the persons ordered to pay as an arrear of land revenue. (2) An order of the Tahsildar or other authority awarding possession or restoring the possession or use of any land shall be executed in the same manner as an order passed by a revenue officer under the2[Karnataka] Land Revenue Act, 1964.] _______________________________ 1. Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 116

Title: Bequest to Take Effect on Failure of Prior Bequest

.....The bequest to B is intended to take effect after the bequest to such of the sons of A as shall first attain the age of 25, which bequest is void under section 114. The bequest to B is void. (ii) A fund is bequeathed to A for his life, and after his death to such of his sons as shall first attain the age of 25, and if no son of A shall attain that age, to B. A and B survive the testator. The bequest to B is intended to take effect upon failure of the bequest to such of A's sons as shall first attain the age of 25, which bequest is void under section 114. Title: Subsidies for the Encouragement of Trade or Industry

.....subsidy under the Act unless and until (a) the company is incorporated by or under the laws of British Indiaor, if the Act so provides, is incorporated by or under the laws of BritishIndia or of a Federal State; and (b) such proportion, not exceeding one half, of the members of itsgoverning body as the Act may prescribe, are British subjects domiciled inIndia or, if the Act so provides, are either British subjects domiciled inIndia or subjects of a Federated State; and (c) the company gives such reasonable facilities as may be so prescribed for the training of British subjects domiciled in India or, if the Act so provides, of British subjects domiciled in India or .subjects of a Federated State. (3) For the purposes of this section a company incorporated by or under the laws of the United Kingdom shall be deemed to be carrying on business in India if it owns ships which habitually trade to and from parts in India. _________________________ 1. Penalty for personation of shareholder If any person deceitfully personates an owner of any share or interest in a company, or of any share warrant or coupon issued in pursuance of this Act, and thereby obtains or attempts to obtain any such share or interest or any such share warrant or coupon, or receives or attempts to receive any money due to any such owner, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.

Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 Section 116

Title: Engagement of Seamen Outside India for Indian Ships

With respect to the engagement of seamen outside India, the following provisions shall have effect : When the master of an Indian ship engages a seaman at any port outside India, the provisions of this Act respecting agreements with the crew made in India shall apply subject to the following modifications : (a) at any such port having an Indian consular officer, the master shall, before carrying the seaman to sea, procure the sanction of the consular officer, and shall, if not contrary to any law in force in that port, engage the seaman before that officer; (b) the master shall request the Indian consular officer to endorse upon the agreement an attestation to the effect that it has been signed in his presence and otherwise, made as required by this Act, and that it has his sanction, and if the attestation is not made, the burden of proving that the engagement was made as required by this Act shall lie up on the master.

(1) A summary court-martial may be held by the commanding officer of any corps, department or detachment of the regular Army, and he shall alone constitute the court. (2) The proceedings shall be attended throughout by two other persons who shall be officers or junior commissioned officers or one of either, and who shall not as such, be sworn or affirmed.
