.....and all other property both moveable and immoveable and research and other institutions owned and managed by the University referred to in sub-section (1) of section 3, prior to the commencement of the Amendment Act, situated within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad shall along with all the properties, assets, liabilities and obligations stand transferred to and vest in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad: Provided that the State Government may grant to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad such additional development grant as it may deem fit for developing a campus at Dharwad. (b) (i) any student who was studying for any examination of the University referred to in sub-section (1) of section 3, prior to the commencement of the Amendment Act, in the colleges transferred to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, shall be permitted to complete his course in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, which shall make arrangements for holding for such students examinations for such period as may be prescribed in accordance with the curricula of that University; (ii) if the University.....

Amendment of section 11 of Act 25 of 1956 In the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956, in section 11, after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be inserted, namely:-- "(1A) The Director shall hold office for a terra of five years from the dale on which he enters upon his office or until he attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier: Provided that any person holding office as a Director immediately before the commencement of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences and the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (Amendment) Act, 2007, shall in so far as his appointment is inconsistent with the provisions of this sub-section, cease to hold office on such commencement as such Director and shall be entitled to claim compensation not exceeding three months' pay and allowances for the premature termination of his office or of any contract of service.". 3. Substitution of new section for section 23 For section 23 of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956 (25 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following section shall be substitute, namely:-- "23.
