.....for the reconstitution of electoral colleges for certain Union territories [Repealed] [Rep. by the Territorial Councils Act, 1956 (103 of 1956), Section 66]. .....the sample and submit a report in the prescribed form of the result of the analysis in triplicate to the Central Board or, as the case may be, the State Board which shall comply with the provisions of sub-section (2). (4) If there is any inconsistency or discrepancy between, or variation in the results of, the analysis carried out by the laboratory established or recognised by the Central Board or the State Board, as the case may be, and that of the laboratory established or specified under section 51 or section 52, as the case may be, the report of the latter shall prevail. (5) Any cost incurred in getting any sample analysed at the request of the occupier or his agent shall be payable by such occupier or his agent and in case of default the same shall be recoverable from him as arrears of land revenue or of public demand.

Title: Report of the Result

Year: 1951

As soon as may be after the result of an election has been declared, the returning officer shall report the result to the appropriate authority and the Election Commission, and in the case of an election to a House of Parliament or of the Legislature of a State also to the Secretary of that House, and the appropriate authority shall cause to be published in the Official Gazette the declarations containing the names of the elected candidates.

Income Tax Act, 1961 Section 93

Title: Avoidance of Income-tax by Transactions Resulting in Transfer of Income to Non-residents

.....the purposes of this Act. (3) The provisions of this section shall not apply if the first-mentioned person in sub-section (1) shows to the satisfaction of the Assessing Officer that (a) neither the transfer nor any associated operation had for its purpose or for one of its purposes the avoidance of liability to taxation ; or (b) the transfer and all associated operations were bona fide commercial transactions and were not designed for the purpose of avoiding liability to taxation. Explanation : For the purposes of this section, (a) references to assets representing any assets, income or accumulations of income include references to shares in or obligation of any company to which, or obligation of any other person to whom, those assets, that income or those accumulations are or have been transferred ; (b) any body corporate incorporated outside India shall be treated as if it were a non-resident ; (c) a person shall be deemed to have power to enjoy the income of a non-resident if (i) the income is in fact so dealt with by any person as to be calculated at some point of time and, whether in the form of income or not, to enure for the benefit of the.....

Presidential and Vice-presidential Elections Act, 1952 Section 12

Title: Liability of Employer in Respect of Accidents Resulting Form Collapse of Houses Provided by Him

1[16A. Liability of employer in respect of accidents resulting form collapse of houses provided by him. (1) If death or injury is caused to any worker or a member of his family as a result of the collapse of a house provided under section 15, and the collapse is not slowly and directly attributable to a fault on the part of an occupant of the house or to a natural calamity, the employer shall be liable to pay compensation. (2) The provisions of section 4 of, and Schedule IV to, the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923, as in force of the time being, regarding the amount of compensation payable to a workman under that Act shall, so far as may be, apply for the determination of the amount of compensation payable under sub-section (1). ________________________ 1 . Mines Act, 1952 Section 72C

Title: Special Provision for Contraventionof Law with Dangerous Results

.....Act or of any regulation, rule or bye-law or of any order made thereunder [other than an order made under sub-section (1A) or sub-section (2) or sub-section (3) of section 22] 1 [or under sub-section (2) of section 22A], shall be punishable-- (a) if such contravention results in loss of life, with imprisonment which may extend to two years, or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both; or (b) if such contravention results in serious bodily injury, with imprisonment which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to three thousand rupees, or with both ; or (c) if such contravention otherwise causes injury or danger to persons employed in the mine or other persons in or about the mine, with imprisonment which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both: 1 [Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be recorded in writing in the judgment of the court, such fine, in the case of a contravention referred to in clause (a), shall not be less than three thousand rupees]. When the counting of the votes has been completed, the returning officer1[shall, in the absence of any direction by the Election Commission to the contrary, forthwith declare] the result of the election in the manner provided by this Act or the rules made thereunder. ______________________ 1. Publication of results of elections to the Council of States and of names of persons nominated by the President. - After the elections held in any year in pursuance of the notifications issued under section 12, there shall be notified by the appropriate authority in the Official Gazette the names of members elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assemblies of the Stales and by the members of the electoral colleges for the various2[Union territories] at the said elections together with the names of any persons nominated by the President to the Council of States under sub-clause (a) of clause (1) of article 80 or under any other provisions. ______________________ 1.
