Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 Section 21

Title: Pesticides, Veterinary Drugs Residues, Antibiotic Residues and Microbiological Counts

(1) No article of food shall contain insecticides or pesticides residues, veterinary drugs residues, antibiotic residues, solvent residues, pharmacological active substances and micro-biological counts in excess of such tolerance limits as may be specified by regulations. (2) No insecticide shall be used directly on article of food except fumigants registered and approved under the Insecticides Act, 1968(46 of 1968). Explanation.--For the purposes of this section,-- (1) "pesticide residue" means any specified substance in food resulting from the use of a pesticide and includes any derivatives of a pesticide, such as conversion products, metabolites, reaction products and impurities considered to be of toxicological significance and also includes such residues coming into food from environment; (2) "residues of veterinary drugs" include the parent compounds or their metabolites or both in any edible portion of any animal product and include residues of associated impurities of the veterinary drug concerned.

Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 345

Title: Investment of Residue Bequeathed for Life, Without Direction to Invest in Particular Securities

State: Central

Year: 1925

(1) Where the testator has bequeathed the residue of his estate to a person for life without any direction to invest it in any particular securities, so much thereof as is not at the time of the testator's decease invested in securities of the kind mentioned in section 341 shall be converted into money and invested in such securities. (2) This section shall not apply if the deceased was a Hindu, Muhammadan, Buddhist, Sikh or Jaina or an exempted person.

Where the testator has bequeathed the residue of his estate to a person for life with a direction that it shall be invested in certain specified securities, so much of the estate as is not at the time of his death invested in securities of the specified kind shall be converted into money and invested in such securities.
