Whereany person has been convicted under this Act for the contravention of any ofthe provisions of this Act or of any rule there under, the article of food inrespect of which the contravention has been committed may be forfeited to thegovernment: 1 [Providedthat where the courtis satisfied that the article of food is capable of being made to conform toprescribed standards for human consumption after reprocessing, the court may order thearticle of food to be returned to the owner, on his executing a bond with orwithout sureties, for being sold, subject to the otherprovisions of this Act, after reprocessing under the supervision of suchofficer as may be specified therein.] ______________________ 1.
