Christian Marriage Act1872 Part V

Title: Marriages Solemnized By, or in the Presence Of, a Marriage Registrar

.....of such notice having been given and of such oath having been made : Proviso.- Provided that no lawful impediment be shown to his satisfaction why such certificate should not issue ; that the issue of such certificate has not been forbidden, in manner hereinafter mentioned, by any person authorized in that behalf by this Act ; that four days after the receipt of the notice have expired ; and further, that where, by such oath, it appears that one of the parties intending marriage is a minor, fourteen days after the entry of such notice have expired. (5) Any member or creditor who does not exercise his option within the period specified section-section (4) shall be deemed to have assented to the proposals contained in the resolution. Section 7 - Registration (1) If the Central Registrar is satisfied-- (a) that the application complies with the provisions of this Act and the rules; (b) that the proposed multi-State co-operative society satisfies the basic criterion that its objects are to serve the interests of members in more than one State; (c) that its bye-laws provide for social and economic betterment of its members through self-help and mutual aid in accordance with the co-operative principles; (d) that the proposed bye-laws are not contrary to the provisions of this Act and the rules, he may register the multi-State co-operative society and its bye-laws. (2) The application for registration shall be disposed of by the Central Registrar within a period of four months from the date of receipt thereof by him. Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 Section 7

.....or other employee thereof as a Registrar. (2) Every Registrar shall, without fee or reward, enter in the register maintained for the purpose all information given to himunder section 8 or section 9 and shall also take steps to inform himself carefully of every birth and of every death which takes place in his jurisdiction and to ascertain and register the particulars required to be registered. (3) Every Registrar shall have an officer in the local area for which he is appointed. (4) Every Registrar shall attend his office for the purpose of registering births and deaths on such days and at such hours as the Chief Registrar may direct and shall cause to be placed in some conspicuous place on or near the outer door of the office of the Registrar a board bearing, in the local language, hisname with the addition of Registrar of Births and Deaths for the local area for which he is appointed, and the days and hours of his attendance. (5) The Registrar may, with the prior approval of the Chief Registrar, appoint Sub-Registrars and assign to them any or all of his powers and duties in relation to specified areas within his jurisdiction.
