.....Corporation may, during the interval between the date of commencement of this Act and the date of reconstitution of the council in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3, be exercised and performed, as far as may be and to such extent as the Government may determine, by such person or persons as the Government may appoint in that behalf, and any such person may if the Government so direct, receive payment for his services from the Corporation fund. (2) The Government may determine the relationship of the person or persons appointed under sub-section (1), with the Government. 5. Assets and liabilities of council.-the Government until the date of reconstitution of the council in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3, and the reconstituted council thereafter, shall be entitled to all the assets and be subject to all the liabilities of the Corporation as on the date of commencement of this Act and on the date of reconstitution respectively. 6. Amendment of section 3.--In section 3 of the Calicut Municipal Corporation (Extension of Time for Reconstitution) Act, 1976 (3 of 1977) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act),- (a) in subsections (1) and (2), for the figures, letters and words "1st day of February, 1978", the figures, letters and words "1st day of June, 1978" shall be substituted. (b) in sub section (3), for the figures, letters and words "1st day of February, 1983", the figures, letters and words "1st day of June, 1983" shall be substituted. 3. Repeal and saving.-(1) The Calicut Municipal Corporation (Extension of Time for Reconstitution) amendment Ordinance, 1978 (7 of 1978), is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act. Title: Power of His Majesty to Constitute or Reconstitute High Court by Letters Patent

(1) His Majesty, if the Chamber or Chambers of the Legislature of any Province present an address in that behalf to the Governor of the Province for submission to His Majesty, may by letters patent constitute a High Court for that Province or any part thereof or reconstitute in like manner any existing High Court for that Province or for any part thereof, or, where there are two High Courts in that Province amalgamate those courts. (2) Where any Court is reconstituted, or two Courts are amalgamated, as aforesaid, the letters patent shall provide for the continuance in their respective offices of the existing judges, officers and servants of the Court or Courts, and for the carrying on before the reconstituted Court or the new Court of all pending matters, and may contain such other provisions as may appear to His Majesty to be necessary by reason of the reconstitution or amalgamation.

(1) In the draft scheme the size and shape of every reconstituted plot shall be determined, so far as may be, to render it suitable for building purposes and where the plot is already built upon, to ensure that the building as far as possible complies with the provisions of the scheme as regards open spaces. (2) For the purpose of sub-section (1) the draft scheme may contain proposals,- (a) to form a reconstituted plot by the alteration of the boundaries of an original plot; (b) to form a reconstituted plot by the transfer, wholly or partly, of the adjoining lands; (c) to provide that the consent of the owners that two or more original plots each of which is held in ownership in severalty or in joint ownership, shall hereafter with, or without alteration of boundaries, be held in ownership in common as reconstituted plot; (d) to allot a plot to any owner dispossessed of the land in furtherance of the scheme; and (e) to transfer the ownership of a plot from one person to another.

.....the issue of a new Government security or Government securities. Explanation.--A Government security may be stripped separately for interest and principal or reconstituted on the application of the holder subject to such terms and conditions as may be specified. (3) The person to whom a duplicate Government security or a new Government security is issued under this section shall be deemed for the purposes of section 18 to have been recognised by the Bank as the holder of the Government security; and a duplicate Government security or new Government security so issued to any person shall be deemed to constitute a new contract between the Government and such person and all persons deriving title thereafter through him: Provided that the issue of new security under this section shall not affect the interest of third parties in whose favour a charge or other interest was lawfully created and was subsisting at the time of issue of the new security.
