OFFICIAL TRUSTEES ACT, 1913 OFFICIAL TRUSTEES ACT, 1913 AN ACT TO CONSOLIDATE AND AMEND THE LAW CONSTITUTING THE OFFICE OF OFFICIAL TRUSTEE. IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS FOLLOWS:- PART -I PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Official Trustees Act, 1913. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government, by notification in the Official Gazette may direct. SECTION 02: INTERPRETATION CLAUSE In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (1) "Government" or "the Government" means, in relation to a Stale, the State Government and, in relation to a Union territory, the Central Government.
