Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) Section 437

Title: Mischief with Intent to Destroy or Make Unsafe a Decked Vessel or One of Twenty Tons Burden

State: Central

Year: 1860

Whoever commits mischief to any decked vessel or any vessel of a burden of twenty tons or upwards, intending to destroy or render unsafe, or knowing it to be likely that he will thereby destroy or render unsafe, that vessel, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

Title: Naval Prisons and Naval Detention Quarters

The Central Government may set apart any buildings or vessels or any parts thereof as naval prisons or naval detention quarters and any buildings, vessels or parts of buildings or vessels so set apart as naval prisons or naval detention quarters, as the case may be, shall be deemed to be naval prisons or naval detention quarters respectively, within the meaning of this Act.

Christian Marriage Act1872 Section 29

Title: Quarterly Returns to Archdeaconry

State: Central

Year: 1872

Every Clergyman of the Church of England shall send four times in every year returns in duplicate, authenticated by his signature, of the entries in the register of marriages solemnized at any place where he has any spiritual charge, to the Registrar of the Archdeaconry to which he is subject, or within the limits of which such place is situate. Contents of returns.- Such quarterly returns shall contain all the entries of marriages contained in the said register from the first day of January to the thirty-first day of March, from the first day of April to the thirtieth day of June, from the first day of July to the thirtieth day of September, and from the first day of October to the thirty-first day of December, of each year, respectively, and shall be sent by such Clergyman within two weeks from the expiration of each of the quarters above specified. The said Registrar upon receiving the said returns shall send one copy thereof to the {Subs by Act of 1886, s.30(b), for " Secretary to the L.G ".} [Registrar General of Births, Deaths and Marriages].

Navy Act, 1957 Section 159

Title: Power to Make Regulations in Respect of Naval Prisons and Detention Quarters

.....for enabling such prisoners or persons to earn by special industry and good conduct remission of a portion of their sentence; and (e) for the care of such prisoners or persons, their safe custody and the maintenance of good order and discipline among them and the punishment by personal correction, restraint or otherwise of offences committed by such prisoners or persons. (2) The regulations to be made under this section may apply to naval prisons or detention quarters any of the provisions of the Prisons Act, 1894, and rules made thereunder, imposing punishments on any persons not being prisoners or relating to the duties of gaolers, medical officers and other officers of the prisons. (3) The regulations to be made under this section shall not authorise corporal punishment to be inflicted for any offence.

Title: When Annuity, to Be Paid Quarterly or Monthly, First Falls Due

Where there is a direction that the annuity shall be paid quarterly or monthly, the first payment shall be due at the end of the first quarter, or first month, as the case may be, after the testator's death; and shall, if the executor or administrator thinks fit, be paid when due, but the executor or administrator shall not be bound to pay it till the end of the year.

.....under sub-section (1) of this section shall state the period for which it is to remain in force, but it may be withdrawn at any time or continued from time to time for a further period or periods as the State Government may in each case think fit to direct. Title: Decision of Questions as to Ship and Service Debts and Other Debts in Ship or Quarters
