Explanation For the purpose of this section, (a) "company" means any body corporate and includes a firm or other association of individuals; and (b) "director", in relation to a firm, means a partner in the firm. Section 8 Indemnity No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Director for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act. Section 9 Power to make rules The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, make rules for carrying out the purpose of this Act. Section 10 Repeal and savings (1) The West Bengal Nationalised Text-Books Ordinance, 1976, is hereby repealed. (2) Anything done or any action taken under the West Bengal Nationalised Text-Books Ordinance, 1976, shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under this Act as if this Act had commenced on the 30th day of December, 1976. (1) Save as otherwise provided in sub-section (2), no person shall be liable to any proceedings, civil or criminal, in any court in respect of the publication in a newspaper of a substantially true report of any proceedings of either House of Parliament unless the publication is proved to have been made with malice. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) shall be construed as protecting the publication of any matter, the publication of which is not for the public good.
