Information Technology Act, 2000 Section 42

Title: Control of Private Key

(1) Every subscriber shall exercise reasonable care to retain control of the private key corresponding to the public key listed in his Digital Signature Certificate and take all steps to prevent its disclosure1[***]. (2) If the private key corresponding to the public key listed in the Digital Signature Certificate has been compromised, then, the subscriber shall communicate the same without any delay to the Certifying Authority in such manner as may be specified by the regulations. Explanation.--For the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that the subscriber shall be liable till he has informed the Certifying Authority that the private key has been compromised. _______________________ 1.Words "to a person not authorized to affix the digital signature of the subscriber" omitted by S.O. 1015 (E), dated 19th September, 2002 (w.e.f. 19-9-2002).

Young Persons (Harmful Publication) Act, 1956 Section 6

Title: Power to Seize and Destroy Harmful Publications

(1) Any police officer or any other officer empowered in this behalf by the State Government may seize any harmful publication. (2) Any magistrate of the first class may, by warrant, authorise any police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector to enter and search any place where any stock of harmful publications may be or may be reasonably suspected to be, and such police officer may seize any publication found in such place if in his opinion it is a harmful publication. (3) Any publication seized under sub-section (1) shall be produced, as soon as may be, before a magistrate of the first class, and any publication seized under sub-section (2) shall be produced, as soon as may be, before the court which issued the warrant. (4) If in the opinion of the magistrate or court such publication is a harmful publication, the magistrate or court may cause it to be destroyed, but if, in the opinion of the magistrate or court, such publication is not a harmful publication, the magistrate or court shall dispose of it in the manner provided in sections 523, 524 and 525 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898).

Public Gambling Act 1867 Section 13

Title: Gaming and Setting Birds and Animals to Fight in Public Streets

A police officer may apprehend without warrant any person found playing for money or other valuable thing with cards, dice, counters or other instruments of gaming, used in playing any game not being a game of mere skill in any public street, place or thoroughfare situated within the limits aforesaid or any person setting any birds or animals to fight in any public street, place or thoroughfare situated within the limits aforesaid or any person there present aiding and abetting such public fighting of birds and animals. Such person when apprehended shall be brought without delay before a Magistrate, and shall be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty rupees, or to imprisonment, either simple or rigorous, for any term not exceeding one calendar month; Distraction of instruments of gaming found in public street. and such police officer may seize all instruments of gaming found to such public place or on the person of those whom he shall so arrest, and the Magistrate may on conviction of the offender order such instruments to be forthwith destroyed.
