Title: Penalty for Making False Statement or Omission to Furnish Material Information

If any person, being a party to a combination,-- (a) makes a statement which is false in any material particular, or knowing it to be false; or (b) omits to state any material particular knowing it to be material, such person shall be liable to a penalty which shall not be less than rupees fifty lakhs but which may extend to rupees one crore, as may be determined by the Commission.

THE DEV SANSKRITI VISHWAVIDYALAYA ACT, 2002 (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2009 THE DEV SANSKRITI VISHWAVIDYALAYA ACT, 2002 [Act No. 4 of 2002] PREAMBLE An Act to establish and incorporate a University sponsored by Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, Shantikunj, Haridwar in the State and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Act, 2002. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the date, the notification is issued by the State Government. Section 2 - Definitions (1) In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-- (a) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council of the University; (b) "Constituent college" means a college or institution maintained by the University; (c) "Council for Technical Education" means the All India Council for Technical Education established under Section 3 of the All India Council for Technical Education Act, 1987; (d) "Distant education system" means the system of imparting education through any means of communication such as broadcasting,.....

.....Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows :- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT -(1) This Act may be called the Finance Act, 2002. (2) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, Sections 2-to116-shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2002. SECTION 02: INCOME TAX (1) Subject to the provisions of sub-sections (2) and (3), for the assessment year commencing on the 1st day of April, 2002, income tax shall be charged at the rates specified in Part I of the First Schedule and such tax as reduced by the rebate of income tax calculated under Chapter VIII-A of the Income Tax Act, 1961(43 of 1961) (hereinafter referred to as the Income Tax Act) shall be increased by a surcharge for purposes of the Union calculated in each case in the manner provided therein. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER 01 PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision.
